About and history of Burbank Glendale Pasadena Airport

Burbank Airport also known as Bob Hope Airport began its history as United Airport on Memorial Day weekend in 1930. The name of Burbank Airport was changed to Union Airport, Los Angeles Municipal Airport, and Hollywood-Burbank Airport in previous years. Finally, the airport was renamed as Bob Hope airport in the honor of well-known entertainer Bob Hope in December 2003. Burbank Airport is the only airport having a direct rail connection to downtown LA. Currently this public airport is serving Los Angeles area including Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena and San Fernando Valley and over 5 million passengers each year.
